Sports Therapy

Owner and lead Therapist Sarah:

Having worked with a Physio and personal trainer on her own rehab and training, Sarah has now completed a year long certificate in sports massage at York College. This has since led on to a Foundation Degree in Sports Therapy, which she completed with distinction in 2019. Sarah had almost completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy, when a global pandemic stopped play!

2020 has presented huge challenges for hands on therapists and we’re likely to see precautions like masks in place for some time. We’ve worked hard to add the necessary additional measures such as improved ventilation, client screening and PPE to our already rigorous cleaning schedule, to make it as safe as possible. We also take guidance from our professional body.

Sarah is part of a countywide workplace Covid-19 testing taskforce and as part of that role has been fully vaccinated and is tested weekly.

When not studying, she enjoys swimming and has competed in several open water swims, including the cross Windermere swim in 2014, the Lake Annecy crossing in 2012, The Fireworks 500 (an open water night swim in November!) in 2018 and 2020. She is currently training for the Burgh Island swim in Sept 2021. Sarah has completed several sprint triathlons and has a special interest in working with Triathletes of all levels.
